I don't know if I have ever seen one of these before. The band as well as the top design is made from shell, not silver. You will find the shells decorated with lots of inlaid stones. Colorful blue turquoise, dark red coral, brilliant shell, sterling silver and purple sugilite decorate the ring. Navajo and San Felipe artist Bryan Tom brings the Trading Post a very different style of art then what we get from other local silversmiths. His technique is found in the Pueblos closer to Albuquerque and Santa Fe, not way out on the western edge of New Mexico. He takes shells, not sterling silver, and fills them with mosaic inlay patterns. No one else is going to have anything else like this, enjoy your one-of-a-kind piece of art.
