This isn't the first time award-winning artists Darryl Dean Begay and Alvin Yellowhorse have worked together. However, none of their earlier work compares to this masterpiece. This amazing bolo is a work of art that showcases each artists' best skills. Darryl called this bolo "For My Lord" and it was awarded a Second Place ribbon this year at the Heard Museum Guild Fair. The bolo is over 5 ounces of 18 KT gold, a 125 ct piece of coral that Darryl has been holding for 10 years and all of the gold comes from 24 KT Canadian Maple Leaf coins that Darryl alloyed. Both artists used cuts of Lone Mountain Turquoise to decorate their pieces. Darryl made the bolo and Alvin crafted the magnificent tips. This is an amazing piece of handmade art that brings two incredible arists together.
