Navajo artist Darryl Dean Begay is incredibly talented and will be considered one of the Navajo greats one day, because of what he gives to his art. Like many Navajo artist, Darryl has a connection to his peoples past and the history of Navajo art. He demonstrates that connection with this creation that draws on the beauty of Southwest. Each one of his pieces is an original work of art. This magnificent bolo is a carving of a Plains Chief complete with shield and eagle feather fan. Darryl uses an incredible piece of Bisbee Turquoise for the face. You will find the Arizona rock is filled with a deep blue color that hosts a rich chocolate matrix. The bolo is made from 14k gold as well as the tufa textured bolo tips. Everything is on a heavy braided leather bolo cord.
