This cuff by master artist Darryl Dean Begay definitely has a patriotic feel. He has decorated the wide tufa carved piece with a dragonfly that reached across the cuff. Darryl uses a piece of oxblood coral to make the body of the flying beauty. Below the dragonfly you will see a waving flag, stars and strips. He always makes our showcases as beautiful as possible by bringing a few of his incredible pieces here to the Trading Post. We always feel fortunate to get his tufa cast art, not only because of the many collectors who desire his work, but the balance his work displays. He does not over decorate his pieces and feels that less is more. Also, his material is the best, whether we are talking about the tufa stone that he carves from or the stones he decorates his metal with.
