Kelsey Jimmie, Bracelet, Tufa Cast, Hubei Turquoise, Navajo Handmade

Navajo artist Darryl Dean Begay has won the Best of Show at the prestigious Santa Fe Indian Market. It is in Darryl's workshop where up and coming Navajo artist Kelsey Jimmie learned how to make jewelry. This education is reflected in Kelsey's work. He begins with an incredibly rich colored piece of turquoise. The stone is Hubei Turquoise from China and reveals a magnificent deep blue color with heavy black matrix. Kelsey balances the large stone on a carved triangle bracelet. You will find five triangles spread across the eye pleasing stone. It was made with a great feel and perfect polish. We have a few of Kelsey's pieces on the online Trading Post. Add him to your collection of Native American art.
