Rodeo is a big thing on the Navajo Nation and in Gallup, New Mexico. When summer roles around it seems there is always a rodeo event happening at one of the local area arenas. Navajo silversmith Lester James celebrates this summer tradition with this amazing work of art. He has creating the box by doing 18 separate castings. It begins with the rodeo clown lid that is decorated with 14k gold drops and a stunning inlay of turquoise and coral. Each side of the box has a rodeo theme with the two long sides also incorporating inlay stone into the design. The unique box is heavy and is going to show great in the home or office. You won't see another one like this.
