Jewelry making is an innovative industry. Techniques used one hundred years ago have been tweaked and tools have vastly improved. The wonderful thing about Navajo artists is they are driven by tradition and hold onto the teachings of the first smiths. Navajo artist Aaron Anderson is one of those talented smiths you draws on the past for the inspiration of his contemporary pieces. You will find this amazing cuff decorated with an old Pueblo style dragonfly on one side. The other is Aaron's interpretation of water, you see the wave curving against the dragonfly and represented by the water blue piece of Egyptian Turquoise. In the Four Corners we all understand that water is life.
