Aaron Anderson, Buckle, Pilot Mountain Turquoise, Navajo, 1 1/4"

I don't know the inspiration behind this design, but it has been incorporated into Navajo jewelry early on. Many artists draw from their environment and this does closely resemble a common Four Corner's arthropod. Take a hike out into the high desert and push over a rock and there you will find a centipede. This interesting creature is filled with legs and has a long body. Navajo silversmith Aaron Anderson has recreated the centipede in this unique silver and stone belt buckle. He has filled the body with gorgeous cuts of Pilot Mountain Turquoise with shades of blue and green. You will find that this belt buckle gives you a rustic Four Corners look immediately, enjoy.
