Arland Ben, Bracelet, Squaw Dance, Bisbee Turquoise, 14k, Silver, Navajo, 6.5
Nobody knows how to have gatherings like the Navajo people. People come together to help prepare food, get gifts and host hundreds of people. Navajo artist Arland Ben celebrates that part of his culture with this stunning cuff. He has groups of Navajo men and women in traditional dress below the 14k gold stars of the night sky. In the center of the people is a Holy Figures shape created by using a piece of orange spiny shell and Bisbee Turquoise. This Arizona rock is definitely high grade with the dark blue color and hints of chocolate colored matrix. Arland uses a wide piece of silver to create the bracelet and has filled it with stamp work that serves as the ground, and at each end he has placed to maze style arrowheads. Arland makes some great pieces of handmade art and this is no exception. Enjoy adding this to your collection of Navajo art.
