Ron Bedonie , Bolo Tie, Egyptian Turquoise, Stamping, Leather, Navajo Made, 44"
It is said that the first turquoise was mined in Egypt over 7000 years ago. That is something like 5000 years before it was first mined in North America by Native Americans who had discovered the Cerrillios mine in today's New Mexico. Egyptian Turquoise still comes from the area it was first mined all those centuries ago. Perry was able to come across some amazing cuts of Egyptian rock and gave award-winning silversmith Ron Bedonie a piece. He has taken the richly colored cut of turquoise and placed it on one of his award-winning silver style bolos. You could not ask for a better combination of stone and smith. The masterful silver work that surrounds this collectible stone is the appropriate work for such beauty..
