Harry H Begay, Ring, Blue Moon Turquoise, Ingot Silver, Navajo Handmade, 11
In the 1970s National Geographic magazine did an article on the pawn industry in Gallup, New Mexico. The article came with pictures of local pawn businesses and the people involved in the trade. One picture showed Annie Skeets, the daughter of Roger Skeets, and behind her was a young Harry H Begay. That was before he started making his signature heavy silver jewelry. Today, people from around the world collect his incredible pieces, although they are becoming very difficult to find. This talented silversmith spends more time doing other work and has made silver a part-time hobby. You will find a beautiful piece of Nevada’s Blue Moon Turquoise set in the center of this heavy silver ring. Be one of the lucky few who own a piece of Harry H. Begay’s silver art.
