Undaunted Courage is a nonfiction work about the Lewis & Clark Expedition taken from the journals of the actual explorers. I thought it was a fascinating read and always recommend the book to my friends. It talks about encounters with Native Americans and gives you a visual of what America looked like in 1804. One of the most fascinating parts of the book is the long stretches of traveling up the Missouri River and the amount of game filling the landscape. This is when millions of buffalo roamed the Plains and they tell that story in this book. Navajo award-winning artist Darryl Dean Begay captures that magnificent creature in this beautiful tufa carved bracelet. Darryl brings out the majestic beauty of the buffalo with different shades of polishing.
