Arland Ben, Ring, 14k Gold, Sterling, Bisbee Turquoise, Navajo Handmade, 11 1/2
If you collect Navajo jewelry you have heard of Bisbee Turquoise. This is one of those legendary American turquoise mines known for its striking blues. Bisbee is one of those classic early Southwest towns known for gunfights and hard work. Many entrepreneurs made their way to Bisbee in the 1800s to make their fortune. This was a mining town and that is exactly where Bisbee Turquoise was discovered. Navajo artist Arland Ben used this rectangle cut of Bisbee to use in one of his signature silver and gold rings. You will love the way the stone stretches beyond the width of the band. The heavy silver construction is filled with Arland’s petroglyph inspired 14k gold cutouts. Finished with a heavy bezel around the stone that creates the appropriate setting for the collector’s rock.
