Ramona Bird, Necklace, Clam Shell, Ten Strands, Santo Domingo Made, 22"

Ramona Bird, Necklace, Clam Shell, Ten Strands, Santo Domingo Made, 22"
Most Pueblo tribes are known for pottery. However, a few specialize in another form of art, jewelry. The Santo Domingo artisans are known for their amazing heishe bead necklaces, and it an art mastered by Romana Bird. Not long ago you use to see every Saturday artists come from this Pueblo to sell in Gallup. However, those are lost days and the number of heishe necklaces we see has become few and far between. This necklace is classic white clam shell and has ten strands ending with silver cones. You might have a large bail pendant that you can drop from the bottom, and if not it will look fabulous all alone.
