Donovan Cadman, Bracelet, Indian Head Nickel, Turquoise, Navajo Handmade, 7”

Donovan Cadman, Bracelet, Indian Head Nickel, Turquoise, Navajo Handmade, 7”
The Indian Head Nickel (Buffalo Nickel) was designed in 1912, that was the same year that New Mexico became a state. It honored a part of North American history that we still romanticize today. Navajo silversmith Donovan Cadman has taken the nickel and surrounded it with a combination of American and Chinese turquoise. All the stones show off a shade of blue with a black webbed matrix. Donovan has set the cluster of coin and turquoise on the wide stamped bracelet and finished the silver with a gorgeous polish. You will find a combination of traditional stamp designs and fashionable stars. Look over the online Trading Post for more of Donovan’s creative works.
