Mother Earth provides for all of us, and she is the one thing we need to protect. Navajo artist Monty Claw celebrates the creations of Mother Earth with this beautiful tufa carved pendant. Monty did a series of pendants, a hummingbird, butterfly, and sea turtle to bring awareness to Mother Earth. We see a diminishing hummingbird population which is critical to pollinating a significant number of plants. The same is happening to the butterfly population across the southwest due to an increase in temperature and the extreme dry conditions. Trash in our oceans is a major contributor to the decline of sea turtles which will significantly weaken our marine and beach ecosystems.
