Calvin Desson, Bolo Tie, Navajo Warrior, Multi Stone, Navajo Handmade, 44"

Calvin Desson, Bolo Tie, Navajo Warrior, Multi Stone, Navajo Handmade, 44"
Navajo artist Calvin Desson made this spectacular bolo tie. He has filled a big oval design with a spectacular stone creation. This style of blanket is called a Chief Blanket and was a popular trade item with other tribes. I often wonder if those lines are inspired by the Dutch Trading Company blanket. The image is of a Navajo warrior wrapped in the blanket with the famous mesas of the Four Corners in the background. If you are into Native American history and art I can't imagine a more appealing piece of handmade art. This will show your admiration and appreciation of Native America.
