Ricardo Enrique, Bracelet, Sterling Silver, Wide, Stamping, Navajo Made, 7 1/4"

When the Navajo first learned jewelry making, they had the desire to give it a Navajo style. They didn’t have the style of stamps they have today, the technology was a little different. Instead they would use a file or something similar and chisel designs into the silver, the technique is called rocker work. Navajo silversmith Ricardo Enrique carries on this tradition of Navajo style silver work. You don’t find the wide cuff decorated with any stones, just filled with lots of stamp work. Ricardo uses two different rows of stamp designs and alternates them across the bracelet. Pieces like this, ones that are worn often turn into those coveted patina works of art.
