Andrew Gordon, Bracelet, Turquoise Mountain, Stamping, Navajo, 6 3/4"
Andrew Gordon, Bracelet, Turquoise Mountain, Stamping, Navajo, 6 3/4"
Not all sons follow in their father's footsteps. Navajo silversmith Andrew Gordon wanted to travel and work outside so he took a job doing asphalt. He didn't have an interest in carrying on the family tradition of jewelry making at first. However, Delbert Gordon asked his son to help him with orders and the rest is history. You definitely see the influence of Delbert in Andrew's work. First, his silver is heavy, traditional Navajo work. Andrew fills this cuff with stamp work, cutouts, fancy drops, and wire work. He has also added a gorgeous cut of legendary Turquoise Mountain. Completed with a rustic brushed finish and inner beauty.
