Navajo Handmade Bracelet, Morenci, Circa 1970s, Collector’s Piece, 6 7/8”

The most impressive thing about this bracelet is the massive piece of Morenci Turquoise. This stone is famous for its rich blue colors and iron pyrite matrix, and you will find both of those in this huge cut. Morenci Turquoise is a product of a large copper mine in southeast Arizona and the stories are miners would take the rough rock out of the mine in their lunch boxes. The large stone is set in a classic Navajo 1970s silver setting that is made up of twisted wire, stamp work and styled silver drops. An easy to wear three wire bracelet shank and gorgeous patina finish the cuff. You will find the stone has hairline crack across the top that is only on the surface and will not be a problem. Rocks this large you just don’t find very often, and I imagine this is a 100 carat plus piece.
