The Yei’ be Chei' ceremonies are performed in the fall and winter months. You will find that the ceremonies are not all for the same reason, and the Yei’ is not always the same. Each Yei’ has different powers such as the Rainbow Yei’ and Cloud Yei’ and so on. Navajo artist Lester James has made this Yei’ bracelet with a fascinating figure carved across the cuff. Lester has used a combination of turquoise stones, Mediterranean Coral and black jet to decorate the figure. You will find the rattle turns in the the night sky and is filled with planets, comets and stars. If you look for Native American art that tells a story about the culture, then this cuff is it.
