Navajo silversmith Kelsey Jimmie perfected his craft in the workshop of Darryl Dean Begay. Kelsey is developing his own look and style, but you can see the teacher in the student. The first thing is how well and clean the ring is made, no shortcuts here. He has inlaid a combination of alternating turquoise, coral and jet across an easy to wear tapered band. The silver is done in his usual tufa cast techniques, and like most of his work this silver reveals that natural texture of the tufa stone. If you enjoy adding the new to your collection of Native American art then you will want this one.
