The Hopi depend on the animals that surround their mesas, and they honor those creatures in dances and ceremonies. Hopi artist Ray Bennett Kagenvema made this beautifully detailed cuff. He has used the signature Hopi overlay style to make this wonderful cuff. The piece is filled with a number of deer dancers along with the head of a large buck in the center. This is a very interesting work of wearable art, something a little different from the usual Hopi cuff. We have more Hopi silver in the online Trading Post, make sure you check them out.
