Spiny oyster shell comes in yellow, purple, orange and red. This big oval cut is a wonderful example of the rich reds you will find in this Sea of Cortez shell. Streaks of deep red, almost pink and white fill this stone. Navajo silversmith Tia Long uses it for a big stone pendant. She has surrounded the shell with twisted wire, silver drops and cutouts. All that silver gives it a traditional Navajo silver design. Completed with a stamped bale that will accommodate a number of different sized necklaces.
