This classic silver and turquoise buckle was made by Santo Domingo artist Julian Lovato. The buckle displays the Thunderbird hallmark that he was given after the death of Frank Patania, along with his J.LOVATO and IHM (Indian Handmade) stamp. Known for his contemporary style and use of fine stones. If you were to give him a Navajo comparison it would be Kenneth Begay. This buckle displays one beautiful piece of Timberline Turquoise that displays a magnificent blue with a tight spider web matrix. Finished with a handmade buckle back and keeper.
