Navajo silversmith Freddie Maloney made this unique Navajo and Zuni collaboration cuff. He has taken a turquoise, shell, coral and jet inlay Zuni Knifewing and surrounded it with old time style Navajo silver. Zuni lapidary artist Betty Natachu did the inlay piece. She has used a combination of turquoise, jet, and shell to make the piece, just like she did when making inlay Knifewings, Thunderbirds, and Rainbow Men for Leonard Martza silver. Freddie used a four-wire bracelet shank that is decorated with twist wire, silver drops, wire work, and stamped cutouts that has an appropriate antique finish. We have gotten a few of these wonderful combination Zuni/Navajo pieces from Freddie and Betty. If you are wanting to see more of this great style let us know.
