In an interview I had with Tobe Turpen Jr. he talked about the early days of retail after WWII. He talked about how in those days it was more about educating the customer on the jewelry and the stones. Customers wanted to know that the jewelry was authentic Native American made, but not really concerned with who the artist was. Today it is completely changed, the consumer wants to know the name of the artist. That is why it is very common to find pieces during this time up to the 1980s without hallmarks. This gorgeous unsigned cuff is a cluster of magnificent Lone Mountain Turquoise. A traditional combination of silver drops and twisted wire surround the stones.
