Navajo tufa cast artist Philander Begay makes incredible pieces of hand-carved silver art. Philander is an award-winning artist who is influenced by many powerful sources. One is his Native American culture that is filled with a long rich history here in the Four Corners. He also draws from the Native American art that came before him, like the work of Charles Loloma. Last, his work reflects on his childhood where he spent many days on the land of the Hopi. This bolo pulls from the Hopi influence with a tufa carved Hopi Maiden along with a child. The two figures surround two amazing cuts of Turquoise Mountain. Finished with a braided leather cord and sterling silver tips.
