Navajo artist Philander Begay spends lots of time on the Hopi Reservation. The culture and artists of this Arizona Pueblo have inspired him and that is reflected in his work. This cuff has a huge eagle dancer that has been carved to over the edges of the cuff. You will find a beautiful piece of turquoise on the mask of the eagle dancer. It is a small piece of sky blue turquoise that brings a hint of color the large silver. Philander carves the sacred San Francisco peak on the end of the bracelet. By using tufa stone Philander is capable of giving his work many different elements of design. 136.2 grams
