In the Book of Hopi it is suggested that Zuni along with the other Rio Grande Pueblo peoples are Hopis that didn?t complete the migration to the four corners of the world. So, it makes sense that many similar ceremonies and kachinas are found among them. Zuni artist Philbert Beyuka created this fascinating Black Ogre Kachina. Like the Zuni Boogie Man it is responsible for discipline among the children. This kachina is filled with detail that includes a knife, snake and basket filled with a mudhead. We have a recreation of Eddie Beyuka?s famous Arizona Highway bolo set by Philbert on the online Trading Post.?
