The Hopi People come from an oral culture. Stories pass down tradition and mythology. You can not grow up in this area and not here some fascinating stories. One of the most enjoyable characters in these fascinating stories is the trickster coyote. Hopi artist Berra Tawahongva decorates this wide band with not only a coyote, but includes the Kokopelli and the Four Corners. When the Hopi emerged into this world they were required to journey to the four corners of the new world. The traditional Hopi overlay technique creates beautifully contrasting silvers, shiny and dark.
