Navajo award-winning artist Vernon Haskie turns many of his award-winning styles into shapes. You have seen incredible turtles and kokopellis made by Vernon, and this time he has created his interpretation of the first people. It is always an interesting creation because so much mystery surrounds these designs found on the high mesa walls of the Four Corners. Some say they are from another place and came here to help the first people, whatever the case they are an important piece to the early Southwest people. The head and body are thick cabs of beautiful Kingman turquoise, while the area surrounding the rich turquoise rock is dark red Mediterranean Coral. Vernon also decorates some very heavy handmade sterling tips with more coral inlay, a great compliment. Finished with a heavy braided leather cord this will fit perfectly.
