Justin Wilson, Necklace, Kingman Turquoise, Circa 2000s, Navajo Handmade, 26"

Justin Wilson, Necklace, Kingman Turquoise, Circa 2000s, Navajo Handmade, 26"
When I think of cluster work like this necklace, Zuni work comes to mind. However, Navajo artist Victor Moses Begay made some spectacular cluster work that will rival many Zuni pieces. Navajo silversmith Justin Wilson and his wife continue this tradition of Navajo cluster. They make complete sets of stunning cluster work, and like the Zuni artists they hand pick and cut their own stones. You can tell the little differences between this Navajo work and Zuni pieces. Justin uses a heavier silver and big cuts of Kingman Turquoise. The necklace is around 20 years old and that aging has only improved the looks of this collector's piece. It has been made with a heavy handmade chain and will give you an amazing Southwest look.
