Many of us who appreciate Navajo silver learn what we can about the history and the Navajo artists who carry on the tradition of handmade silver. Roger Skeets Sr. was one of those instrumental smiths in the development of a market and style for both Zuni and Navajo jewelry. He worked very closely with Zuni Trader C.G. Wallace and made thousands of pieces of silver for the legendary Trader. Many of those pieces would have had Roger Jr. standing by his father's side, learning how to make silver from watching and the simple choirs his father would have given him. Junior continued to make pieces just like his father and many times uses the same tools his father passed down to him. This belt is made in classic Skeets' style, and is filled with those amazing stamp designs. You would be the envy at the next Song and Dance you attend wearing this, and everyone will know it is a Skeets belt. Own a piece Navajo silver history.
