Navajo silversmith Joan Begay made one of the oldest styles known to her people. When the craft was first taught to the Navajo they made small pieces and buttons would be one of those early creations. They could have looked very similar to this handmade creation. Joan styles her button with stamp work and deep blue Kingman Turquoise. Finished with a rustic brushed finish. This will make a beautiful hatband that will give you that wonderful Southwest look.
