I doubt anybody knows the exact year that Navajo silversmith Roger Skeet Sr. made his first concho belt. We might take an educated guess that it was sometime in the 1920s. That means for almost 100 years a Roger Skeet has been making traditional Navajo concho belts. Roger passed the techniques and tools onto his son Roger Jr. This belt is a circa 1950s creation. You will find both Skeets will regularly using four turquoise stones in their buckles. The turquoise on this belt has changed over the years, but you can tell that some of it had a spider web matrix. Don?t worry about the small waist size, the leather can always be changed.
