Jonathan Othole, Concho Belt, 11 Pieces, Inlay, Turquoise, Coral, Shell, Zuni,48

South of Gallup is the Zuni Pueblo. This Pueblo is full of artist and some of the most interesting and beautiful Native American art comes out of this small village. Many of the artist in this community are experts at cutting stone and inlaying them. Names like Eddie Beyuka, Frank Vacit, Lambert Homer, and Leo Poblano are all associated with valuable inlaid masterpieces. This tradition is carried on by today's Zuni artists and they continue to create and improve on the foundation of its original artist. You will not find a better example of this tradition then this incredible concho belt. Eleven pieces by Zuni artist Jonathan Othole are filled with a puzzle of turquoise, coral, shell and jet inlay. I don't know if you will ever find another one like this.
